The artist, Christina Michalopoulou, is a contemporary painter living and working in Thessaloniki, Greece. Her mediums are acrylic paint or oil colors on large canvas surfaces. Her paintings are a constant battle between figurative, realistic human figures or body parts and abstraction. She often likes to bring the realism, sometimes even photorealism, of her figures in contrast with an abstract, pop or fictional background. A play of surrealism resemblance to a collage.
